Public Speaking

Paul has over thirty years of experience in public speaking. He is in demand as an after-dinner speaker at formal and informal occasions. His natural talents for speaking and entertaining became apparent early in life; at fourteen he won prizes in spoken English competitions and at eighteen was headhunted for prestigious theatre training in London.

No size of audience daunts him and no group is too small to merit his one hundred percent commitment during his time with them. He combines humour with knowledge, an ability to communicate and motivate with a keen sense of timing, and a respect for his audience with an ability to inspire them to consider new ideas if the occasion demands it.

Paul has spoken in a variety of settings, which have included professional conferences, academic institutions, events organised by voluntary agencies, churches, and non-religious spiritual groups. Paul is available to entertain and inform your group on a wide variety of topics, including:

  Amazing Friendships
  Being your Own Best Friend
  Memory Matters
  Gardening as Therapy
  Art Is For Everyone
  Finding Motivation
  Life Journey Reflection
  Managing, Recruiting and Motivating Volunteers
  Local History of Derbyshire
  Caring for the Carers
  Derbyshire Welldressings

Paul also offers a one-man show of stories, jokes, songs and monologues to entertain and delight your group, and will arrange and host quizzes at your request. He is also available as a toastmaster for your important events. (Click here for more information about Paul's toastmastering.)
